About The Owners

Mike and Wendy are no strangers to the western mountains of Maine. Both originally from the lakes region area of New Hampshire, Wendy’s family has owned a second home in Wilsons Mills since the late 1960’s and Mike has been hunting and fishing the area for nearly 30 years.

Mike has been an avid outdoorsman since he was big enough to hold a rod or a firearm, spending endless hours in the woods of his boyhood home. He followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps and became an electrician working for a number of years for various commercial/industrial electrical contractors but always wanted, needed, to be outdoors. He filled that need for several years by operating his own logging business, however with the demands of a family and the need for a more stable income, he returned to the electrical trade keeping his dream of becoming a Maine Guide and camp owner close at hand.

Wendy spent 26 years in the insurance industry working through the independent agency system at several locations which included a short stint at a very small agency in Kodiak Alaska.  The time spent in insurance proved to be a wonderful opportunity to develop her customer service skills which have transitioned nicely to her new role as hostess of Bosebuck Mountain Camps.

Mike and Wendy are looking forward to enjoying many happy years on the shores of Aziscohos Lake making new friends and watching with their children and grandchildren become an integral part of this historic place.
